Tradeport understands the utmost importance of confidentiality and the untoward repercussions of any breach of privacy. It is precisely in line with this understanding that Tradeport offers its distinctive features and services. The details herein, Tradeport’s Privacy Policy, describes the collection, transmission, and utilization of users’ personal identifiable information and the extent through which the user’s privacy will be protected.
Any involvement with Tradeport already assumes the user’s full knowledge of and consent to Tradeport’s use of your personal information as stipulated in this Privacy Policy and will be deemed as such. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the terms of Tradeport User Agreement and as such, the stipulations in the User Agreement also preside over, particularly but not limited to, minors (under the age of 18) and those who are in one way or another not allowed to enter into legally binding contracts are likewise not allowed to use Tradeport services.

However, should there be any objections as to the gathering and handling of personal information, the user, prospective or current; is advised not to continue with the registration process or the access and use of Tradeport website and services.
I. Collected Information.
The information we collect are necessarily part of Tradeport’s nature, purposes, and operations (including systems development and research) and should consequently make it possible for Tradeport to provide each user with a convenient and safe; customized and maximized way of using Tradeport’s features and services. Should the user need further justification for any solicited information, the user can contact Tradeport at customer_care@tradeport.com.ph.
a.) For database purposes, standard user personal information are required which includes but is not limited to legal name (i.e., the name appearing in any valid and legal document) and demographic information (i.e., sex, age).
b.) In the event that a user decide to register in Tradeport and thus using its services and arrangements such as the facilitation of transactions through moderated shipping and secured payment, Tradeport shall necessitate and thus, solicit geographic location or mailing address and banking information (for depositing payments to the registered users only).
c.) Built in our system via cookies and other devices, Tradeport is also able to track certain information based on the user’s access and activity within the website which may be use for purposes deemed beneficial to and by Tradeport; particularly log size increase and website development and optimization. Such information may include but are not limited to the user’s entry and exit pages or URL, browser, ISP, IP address, visit lengths.
d.) Comments and messages made by and about the user will also be collected and consolidated and will serve as a tool for Tradeport’s evaluation of the user’s membership.
e.) Personal correspondences sent by a user or about a user to Tradeport by whatever media will also be collected and consolidated in a file specific to the involved user/s.
II.Tradeport’s Internal Use of Collected Information.
Inherent to Tradeport’s purposes of privacy and person protection, information will be treated with utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. Tradeport will use collected personal information only in/during/for the following:
a.) Tradeport-facilitated transactions. In the case of such service, Tradeport will authenticate the involved users’ personal identifiable information and will serve as a guarantor of such information. However, any personal information, be it authenticated or otherwise; will not be shared to either buyer or seller except when to Air21, the official courier of Tradeport and any business entity which shall ship or deliver the purchased item via its own logistics or courier. (All business entities will be investigated and asked for all legitimate papers.)In other words, Tradeport will not initiate disclosure of and will not grant requests for any personal information, thus exchange of any personal information between the buyer and seller will be the discretion, position, and action of the involved users. Accordingly, Tradeport will not be liable for any information, be it personal and identifiable (including User ID and password) or of any other nature (including comments, messages, or any information not related to a transaction); shared by any user to other users and/or third parties in or through any media including the Tradeport website, your marketplace, or forums.
b.) Tradeport Research and Development. In Tradeport’s continued efforts to be of better and user-oriented service to its community, personal information may/will be used for research and development which involves but is not limited to improvement of our marketing and promotional efforts, customization of our site’s layout and content, maximization of our product offering and services. Note that any research and development endeavors do not and will not entail the disclosure of any user’s personal information to any other user or third party such as advertising agencies, research institutions, etc. and will remain as such. Also note that, from time to time, the user may receive surveys or any similar document which will facilitate Tradeport development. User participation in such endeavor will not be imposed, but will be greatly appreciated and considered an asset as it will expectantly bring mutual benefits to both user and Tradeport.
c.) Anomaly/Escalation Evaluation and Resolution. In cases of anomalies or escalations (including disputes of any nature and involvement) which will be handled or settled through and by Tradeport’s Tribunal, Tradeport may and will refer to and use as substantiation any applicable user personal information to arrive at impartial and well-informed resolutions.
d.) Contact. Tradeport may use the member’s personal information and other collected information as described above for Tradeport-user communication and information delivery and dissemination, which may include interest-specific information thus, the user may receive administrative notices, targeted banner advertisements, product offerings, or other communications relevant to the member’s use of Tradeport and targeted to the member’s interests; all in view of better and maximized user experience. In order to further assure the user’s protection, such dealings and communication will be, principally, via e-mail and/or SMS and not by any media that allow real-time contact such as via telephone and mobile phone calls.
III. Tradeport’s External Disclosure of Collected Information.
Tradeport treats data and information as assets and shall work hard for their protection from external factors and third parties. Corollary to this, Tradeport does not and will not disclose any user personal information and other collected information to third parties, including but not limited to advertising agencies, market research institutions, or other corporate entities. In the case of purchase from a business or corporate entity, the buyer agrees to and shall provide his/her name and shipping address in an online form which will immediately be forwarded to the business/corporate entity upon deposit of payment. This section holds exception on cases of law enforcement inquiries and other such legal matters and proceedings in which case Tradeport will cooperate with the government and law and their representatives, thus Tradeport will disclose any or all information we, in our sole discretion, deem necessary or applicable to any legal inquiry or investigation.
IV. Tradeport Security.
a.) Restricted Access. In Tradeport, access to your information is limited only to Tradeport and its partners only on a need-to-know basis.
b.) Verisign. Tradeport is Verisign certified. For more information, log on to www.verisign.com.
V. User Responsibility.
a.) Since throughout the website, a Tradeport member is identified by his/her User ID and is responsible for all communications and actions taken with or under such User ID; the member is therefore advised not to disclose his/her email address and password to any third party/ies. Should a member decide to do such, for reasons and purposes entirely or partly the member’s own, the member is still liable for all communications and actions taken with or under his/her User ID and is thus liable and subjected should there be any anomaly, dispute, or legal proceedings.
b.) The user should promptly make necessary updates and changes to his/her personal information as the need arises in order to avoid concerns particularly identity and information authentication and transaction delays.
c.) Should the user, for one reason or another, wish to terminate his/her Tradeport account; Tradeport will, upon the user’s request yet according to systems and administrative factors; deactivate the user’s account and remove the user’s information in the active databases. However, due to technical matters such as back-up systems, the user’s information will not be completely and permanently removed from Tradeport systems and may be referred to, in Tradeport’s sole discretion, in some circumstances should the need arise e.g. troubleshooting, legal inquiries.
d.) Tradeport may make amendments to this Privacy Policy. Should any amendment arise, users shall be notified via the Tradeport website and not individually via email; it is then the users’ responsibility to know such or any amendment. Continued access and use of Tradeport website and services already assumes the awareness and agreement of amendment/s and shall be deemed as such.
